Game theory has been applied in many areas of sociological relations. In this paper, a social experiment from the movie: Batman - The Dark Knight is examined from a game theoretical viewpoint. In this ?lm, the bad Joker installs explosives at two manned ferries. The passengers of each ferry have the possibility to blow up the other one. If one of the ferries does so until midnight, the people are promised to stay alive, otherwise the Joker will blow up both ferries. This work shows that this game is not always a Prisoners Dilemma, as maybe the Joker expected, but can end peacefully. A static model and a dynamic model are established. In the static description, the situation can be classi?ed as a Prisoners Dilemma, Coordination game or two different Harmony games depending on parameter values. In the dynamic model, these different types of games change in the course of time
